WHAT’S THE MEANING OF THE NAME NAYAVITA?

The name NAYAVITA wasn’t selected at random. It symbolises our goal to eliminate, or at least drastically reduce the production of new plastic. Only about 10% of all plastic in the World is currently being recycled. At the same time, most produced plastic is recyclable. Instead, it ends up in our oceans, landfills or elsewhere in the nature.

NAYA in Hindi means NEW, and VITA is Latin for LIFE. So NAYAVITA represents NEW LIFE, and the proverbial second chance we give single-use plastic.

WHAT ARE NAYAVITA TOWELS MADE OF?

NAYAVITA beach towels are made 100% from recycled single-use plastic bottles. This is plastic waste that was either directly saved from our oceans and other places in nature,  or was retrieved from landfills and recycling stations and thus prevented to end-up there. Plastic waste goes through recycling process and is transformed to polyester and polyamide microfibers. 80% polyester content gives our towels properties such as durability, resistance to shrinkage and pulling, fast drying and non-creasyness. The remaining 20% polyamide then adds softness and water absorption.

HOW MANY BOTTLES ARE USED TO MAKE ONE NAYAVITA TOWEL?

Approximately 28 half-litre plastic bottles are used for one NAYAVITA towel with a size of 80 x 160 cm.

HOW DO YOU MAKE TOWELS FROM PLASTIC BOTTLES?

Recycling plastics uses less energy than producing new microfiber. This way the burden to the environment is minimised, and in fact alleviated, by cleaning nature from discarded plastic bottles. The recycling process works something like this:

 

WHAT FEATURES DO NAYAVITA TOWELS HAVE?

The combination of the waffle structure, method of weaving and used microfiber gives your NAYAVITA towel light weight, high water absorption, fast drying, resistance to sand retention and compactness, but not at the expense of size (80x160cm). NAYAVITA towels are also double-sided, so you’re practically getting two gorgeous towels in one.

WHAT DO NAYAVITA TOWELS FEEL LIKE?

NAYAVITA towels are thanks to their unique features different than traditional shaggy towels with loops. That is why they also feel different. They have a lower volume, a higher weaving density than classic towels, and are soft to the touch.

Definitely not! Thanks to its compactness and lightness, your new NAYAVITA towel is the ideal companion for all outdoor adventures, as well as for travel.

WHAT PACKAGING MATERIALS DO YOU USE?

As with NAYAVITA products themselves, we strive to use recycled, biodegradable and environmentally friendly materials. Your NAYAVITA eco towel comes with a craft paper wrap, where we share some interesting and mandatory facts, it is packed in a bag made from recycled plastic to prevent any staining during handling and transport, and for the final shipping it is put into a recycled or recyclable and biodegradable envelope or a box.

WHY DO YOU USE PLASTICS AS PACKAGING?

All plastic we use in NAYAVITA is made from recycled materials or pre-loved. We do not use new plastic. We try to support the environment by using materials that have already fulfilled their original function and got a second chance as a bag, shrink film or even an envelope. They also help to keep your towel clean during storage, handling and transport.

WHAT OTHER PACKAGING MATERIALS DO YOU USE?

All packaging materials used in NAYAVITA (nayavita.com) and NAYAVITA YOGA (nayavita.com/yoga) are either recycled,re-used and / or biodegradable such as corn starch or paper.

WHY DO YOU USE MAINLY CRAFT PAPER?

Brown kraft paper did not undergo bleaching and its chemical treatment was thus kept to a minimum. This makes it a natural biomaterial that is compostable, biodegradable and recyclable. It makes it an ideal solution for those who care about the environment like you and us at NAYAVITA.

WOULDN’T FANCY DECORATIVE PACKAGING BE MORE IN LINE WITH A PREMIUM BRAND LIKE NAYAVITA?

At NAYAVITA, we believe that our customers appreciate not only the eco-conscious materials used to produce our beautiful, unique and high quality products, but also the fact that we apply the same principles when selecting packaging. Although decorative packaging is easy on the eye, it is often not in line with our belief that you can indulge your body and soul in a spot of much deserved luxury, without the unnecessarily negative impact on our environment. In addition, in vast majority of cases, packaging materials are disposable, and therefore the use of energy- and resource-intensive materials seems even more like a waste. Plus we believe that also eco-conscious packaging can be beautiful.

CAN YOU DO EVEN BETTER?

Yes, absolutely. In NAYAVITA, we are just at the beginning of a long and exciting journey, and our goal is to constantly evolve and improve. In the long run, we foresee that all packaging will be plastic free, made from recycled, recyclable and biodegradable material, or directly reused packaging that has served its purpose and gets another chance, this time to bring you your NAYAVITA towel.

Yes. Most shipping of EU orders over 100 EURO or equivalent if free. We charge flat fee for other orders depending on the country:

WHAT ARE THE DELIVERY TIMES?

We need 1 day to process your order. We use express shipping to most destinations. In the Czech Republic and Slovakia, you will get your NAYAVITA towel within 3 days. In other EU countries within 3-6 working days, except Greece and Finland where it might take upto 9 days. The rest of the World takes 3-5 days.

DO YOU DELIVER TO P.O.BOXES?

We are currently unable to deliver to P.O. Boxes unfortunately.

WHAT CAN I DO WHEN I WANT MY NAYAVITA TOWEL BUT AM NOT IN THE EU?

CAN I RETURN MY TOWEL?

We want you to love your NAYAVITA beach towel as much as we do. If you change your mind or have decided for another design, simply send your unused towel back in the original packaging within 30 calendar days of receipt and we will exchange it or give you a refund. Simply write to us at hello@nayavita.com, mention the order number, which towel and why you want to return, potentially for which you want to exchange it, and we will take care of the rest.

WHAT SHALL I DO IF I RECEIVE INCORRECT OR FAULTY ORDER?

Although we stand by the quality of our towels, anything can happen. In case you received an incorrect or damaged NAYAVITA towel, write to us as soon as possible at hello@nayavita.com describing the problem and enclosing supporting photos, and we will take care of the rest.

WHO PAYS SHIPPING WHEN RETURNING MY BEACH TOWEL?

You only pay postage for the return if the reason for the return is not defective goods or an error on our side, such as sending you an incorrect towel.

HOW DO I GET MY REFUND?

We will refund your money in the same way you paid for the order. The original shipping fee is not included in the refund.

WHEN WILL I GET MY MONEY BACK?

Payment will be processed by us within 14 days of receiving the returned goods.
