Forget about boring yoga exercise mats you see on every corner. Each NAYAVITA yoga mat is hand designs to be practical and functional, as well as eco friendly and uniquelly beautiful.

Geisha, or geiko, in Japanese culture symbolises beauty and mystery. These mystery-clad beauties are characterized by the traditional style of kimono and the way of wearing it, elaborate hair styles and white oshiroi make-up. They are not courtesans, as many believe, but extensively trained artists highly skilled at many forms of traditional Japanese art, including music, singing, witty and clever conversations, and tea ceremonies.

The center of this ancient art is Kyoto. Here geiko live in okiya houses in geiko neighborhoods. Only known patrons, or those who have been recommended and guaranteed by a well-known patron, can traditionally indulge in geiko or maiko (a geiko student) company during dinner. These are held under strict conditions in teahouses, or ochaya, which have a dedicated tatami room.
